The Critter Cottage is both a concept and a location.  The concept is the partnership between Vicky's Pet Connection and 2 Feet 4 Paws to mutually benefit from operating at a common location.  That location is the Critter Cottage, the cozy shop in historic downtown Ada, MI where we adopt pets and sell pet supplies.  It's a visionary approach for a non-profit charity and a for-profit business to join forces in this manner.  The result is a symbiotic relationship that adds efficiency to both of our operations and adds value to our clients and customers. 

Vicky's Pet Connection uses two rooms at the Critter Cottage to house cats in a home-like setting that is not only happier living for the felines, but also helps adapt them to the home life of their future families.  The Critter Cottage also has a separate room that is used for dog adoptions where prospective owners can allow their current family dog to meet potential canine additions to their family in a controlled setting to ensure that everyone can get along.

The advantage to having 2 Feet 4 Paws at the same location is that adopting families can shop for the needs of their new pet without having to make a separate trip.   Another benefit is the expert customer service - rather than wander around the warehouse shelving of a big-box pet store unsure of what supplies are needed, the experienced people of Vicky's Pet Connection and 2 Feet 4 Paws can quickly and accurately advise adopters on what they need (and don't need) for their new pet.
