As an infant adoptee from Operation Babylift, Amanda feels a kinship with those homeless pets who are seeking loving families.  When she was old enough to be stubbornly persistent she convinced her parents that they needed a dog.  Fluffy the mini poodle was happily spoiled, going for neighborhood "walks" riding in a baby stroller pushed by Amanda.  

All grown up now, Amanda has two dogs of her own (and a husband, too) and rest assured, those dogs are sufficiently spoiled.  When she isn't running the store, Amanda enjoys photography, cooking, and gardening whatever the deer don't eat. 

Fluffy allows 8-year-old Amanda to share the bed.
